Short Cooking Courses

R3 800 per person · 4 classes

By learning kitchen hygiene and safety, planning menus, selecting ingredients and preparing meals, cooks can have a huge impact on the health and happiness of their families. Each course consists of 4 classes running over 4 Thursday or Saturday mornings, 9am to 12pm, and includes all recipes, equipment and ingredients.

Everyone cooks at their own station and the classes are fully hands-on. You cook two portions of every meal — one you plate and enjoy at a table you learn to set, the other goes home to share. Homework each week is to draw up the shopping list and cook the meal at least once. Certificates are issued on successful completion.

Every course starts with hygiene, safety and knife skills, then builds from there.

Classes run from 9am to 12pm — kindly arrive at 8:45 to settle in. Each class is 3 to 3½ hours and fully hands-on, so you will be standing, cooking and working for most of it. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and tie long hair back.

Prices are per person for the full 4-class course and a minimum of 1 cooks per course applies.

Recipes use common cooking and baking ingredients including fruit, vegetables, nuts, meat, spices and wheat flour. If you have a food allergy, please check with Chef Anni before the course — recipes cannot be adjusted during class.
